  which governing body member would wake up and smell the coffee?.

  now since i don't know any of them personally i'm not best qualified to answer this but from what i've read i would choose geoff jackson.

  the only strike he has aganst him is the fact that he's a widower; i would think the hope of the resurrection is a pretty strong inducement to ignore what's under your nose.. any other opinions?.

  no, i don't have the wt articles at my fingertips.

  it is the case though that it wasn't until 1929 that the wt changed their current understanding to be that they were inspected and selected in 1919 - 3 1/2 years after 1914 and christ's return to the throne.. .

  wouldn't you think such an important event would have been revealed in a more obvious way?.

  Just my thoughts as I read this post.Where is the Christ-Like personality? Did not Christ ask his Father to forgive those who tortured and nailed him to the stake. Hitchens did none of that. Christ walked among sinner etc. The books and debates are helpful for believers to sharpen their skills in addressing opposing beliefs not condeming those who don't believe.

  I am neither for or against opposers to Christ, he will deal with that, it is his right to do so, not mine.

  i found out that in a local congregation the service overseer has directed that magazines not be given by jws to:.

  a) inactive jws.

  b) return visits that are not coming to the meetings after 6 months.

  We all know that the internet is the fastest way to reach the public worldwide. One message send out worldwide on the internet will be passed down by word of mouth for those that don't have a computer.

  For an eternal life and everlasting suffering death message preached by the Watchtower, you would think that they would be blood guilty for not using this avenue of service.

  And the non-jws get the mag. for the public only. Inactive, rv's Bible students get what? Nothing! Good for them!

  As far as any hope of getting mags. Its a good thing that they don't get them.

  Is the service overseer getting his orders from the society in print or making his own rules?

  I thought this was about responding to the topic on hand. I believe much of the responses here have been circular, it's true because the Bible says so.

  Good for you if you have that leap of faith. Many culutures around the world take issue with other cultures' belief systems.

  Where does God/Jesus fit in all these other cultures who strongly believe otherwise because they were not born in a Christian culture.

  If you were born into the other world cultures you would be swearing that your belief system is the only truth.
